Default Best exhaust system from the tuners..

Title a little deceiving. The sound of an exhaust system is purely subjective where the performance of the system is represented by the numbers. I don't believe there is a best of both worlds. I am looking at pulling the trigger for an exhaust and want the best performing system while producing a nice deep throaty sound with possibly little to no in cabin drone and rumble, think 440 Charger R/T. I'm hoping that those "tuning people" who frequently see results on the rollers will share their observations.

The problem is finding numbers that don't include a tune with it. Next truck will just get a tune and IC.

I think I've listened to sound clips of everything on the market and my consensus is--you ain't getting that type of sound on an Ecoboost. It's a v6 and you can not make them sound like a v8. Ever listen to a V10, them and V6's all sound about the same. Better off leaving it stock. According to dyno results posted you aren't going to see increases in power or mpg commensurate with price.

Leave it stock or at most replace the muffler. Anything else and interior volume will be loud and will annoy you. I've swapped exhausts probably more than anyone on here as far as size, resonators, mufflers and downpipes and all variations had louder interior volume.

I Left my stock flex and resonator and just changed the muffler to borla type s. Had custom dual out pipes made. No drone and nice growl.

Downpipes and a pair of cutouts, best HP you can get out of these trucks and it's quiet 99% of the time.

That being said, huge fan of the Full-Race exhaust!

We Dyno'ed 317 whp with stock exhaust and MAK y-pipe, AFE stage 2 on stock 2011 turbos, on a dyno jet. I didn't keep the sheet bc I didn't think anyone would care, guess I was wrong. In my opinion if you would like to have a good set up that's quiet than that's the way to go. We could write you a tune with that would be close to stock and work with the y-pipe. The stock exhaust isn't bad for mild trucks.

Stock exhaust with catless/catted aftermarket downpipes sounds the best, IMO.
