Who has the best 5.0 performance tune without being extreme. Just looking to get my Eco back and a little more, just a strong tune.

You're not gonna go wrong with any of them. The 5.0 has been out long enough that all the quirks have been worked out. I'd say the 2 most popular are 5star and mpt.

SSi. Just order a SSi1TS2 87 or a tow tune from them. Their base 87 tune will blow you away. And it only gets better if you want more. Most go with a SSi2 which is a little more aggressive. The shifts are super smooth too.

I have 5* and MPT and no complaints with either, I will say that MPT is a little more aggressive than 5*.

You can have it custom made to your prefs, just data log and send it back and they will tweak it to your liking, I haven't data logged with either because right out of the gate they all seemed perfect.

What I mean by "they all" refers to all of the custom tunes I have. Top 4 are 5* last 2 are MPT. Reason I have so many is because when I travel some places don't have the same octane fuel so I should be covered no matter where I go.

I am happy with my Livernois tune. They have excellent customer service and the tune completely changes the truck; it's pretty much how the truck should have come from the factory. Instant throttle response in any gear at any rpm.

I second this. Well the five star part of it. Makes the truck drive a million times better and has a significant power increase. I also think that my 5 star tunes are perfect right out of the box.

I haven't tried MPT yet but likely will in the future just to see what they have to offer as well.

Biggest difference I can tell with MPT is they are a little more aggressive as far as raw power is concerned and their tunes make your tow/haul switch a sort of a cruise/sport mode switch.
