Default Bad Noise!

I am getting some start up noise that does not sound promising. The sound on the second video does go away after its warmed up. The truck runs great over all though

Boom.....does not sound good. I wonder if both noises (Other thread) are related? It almost sounds like an exhaust leak, and the other noise sounds like a boost leak. Under a load is the boost, idle is the exhaust l leak???

The start up noise is almost definitely the timing chain. Replace it ASAP, or engine failure is all but certain.

Ouch! That's karma for you. You ridiculed others in another thread saying you had the noise fixed and it was definitely the vacuum pump, and not the timing chain. If that's your truck in the first video with the startup noise, it sure sounds like the documented timing chain noise to me. I hope I'm wrong though. Is it still under warranty?

Sounds like timing chain slap in the first vid. Second vid sounds like a cam phaser

Heading in to the dealership to have this done, murdr? Let us know how the repair goes.
