I'm in the same boat as a few others. I need the latest strategy code on my 2011 to use my 5* tunes. I have not been able to get the update even with the 100k mile warranty.

Rnlcomp ill be in Covington this weekend visiting my family. If I can't get my update this week from ford I'll gladly pay you to flash me the latest code if the offer still stands for members.

I had some issues with my dealer and getting them to flash the truck with the latest updates to fix small things that were obviously wrong but they couldn't always replicate.

It ultimately took skipping over the service writer and speaking to the mechanic foreman. A heart to heart about not being a stupid customer, providing TSB numbers and my extensive research in hard copy and telling what I'm trying to accomplish, and saying let's go for a drive - he ended up saying while they don't normally do it they'll flash it for me at 1/2 hour of labor rate and but not guarantee anything because they didn't do the diagnoses. It worked and the truck has been performing better ever since! It's a pain to have to push so hard but I was always polite and friendly and kept everything documented.

There was always some push to go through the process to enable remote start and the brake controller I installed myself. But it goes a long way to walk in and tell the tech, in a nice way of course, that "look, this is what I need here's how you'd probably do it on the IDS according to the manual ...". The seemed to respect my efforts and again only charged for 1/2 hour of labor. To me that was fair.

I'd still like to make friends with someone who owns an IDS tho. As suggested previously I thought about the clones but I'm leery of messing up my truck.

The dealership of course was not able to replicate any shift issues. Transmission tech did spend some time on it and took it for a road test. The service advisor states that I have the latest calibration already. I find it hard to believe based on the build date of Jan 14 2013 but I guess I will have to trust them at this point . . .

Still no luck at the dealer, anyone in Missouri/Kansas/Illinois have an IDS system to perform the PCM update to latest stock calibration?
