Who would think a $40,000 vehicle with 32,000 would have these problems! very disappointed in what I previously considered a great truck. This was my first Ford in 40 years and depending on how this plays out, it may be my last. I called Ford and voiced my displeasure over this problem which has persisted now for 30 days. Supposedly they will expedite the CAC parts. We'll see...Thanks to this forum for identifying this issue. Supposedly the problem is limited to 2012 F150"s with Ecoboost made before February 2012.
Welcome to the forum and don't let the comments bother you. Probably more than one issue here, so get the new CAC, and post some more. Also, search the numerous forums on these issues. I'm surprised no one has called you a troll yet for blasting the eco on your first post!

I can't see them doing the CAC if he's having transmission troubles. Unless for some reason the engine is causing the trans to be confused.

Not shifting out of first is a well documented problem on this forum. Where did you see that?

With 20,000 miles in 24 months I have had only 3 issues. The loss of power when passing which was caused by the Left bank Catalytic converter which got replaced now over a year and no more loss of power issue.
The rear passenger traction control sensor was intermittently applying the brakes on that side. It was fixed in about 2 hours.
And third THE CRAPPY Goodyear Wrangler SRA tires which are slick at 20,000. I have never had a original tire go so bad so quick. I have always had the first set to be the longest wearing set until this vehicle. I am very happy with this vehicle still and so far would buy again but waiting for Atlas or whatever the new body style will be.

First post... I own 2011 F150 5.0 single cab 6.5ft

Its reading 58,237 miles and I've had zero issues with the truck avg 150 miles daily mostly highway in Odessa, TX its dusty & dry.

I average about 23.4 MPG and usually get around 530 miles per tank on 26 gal. Tank

Truck is serviced regularly by Ford oil change every 3,500 miles.

Oh I kid! I did have one problem the day I bought the truck I ragged on it pretty hard. Next day woke up and the truck wouldn't turn over it read faulty starter. Ford fixed it couple days turns out a connection was loose.... truck hasn't been over 70mph since.

Unless Ford has changed their response, you will likely be left out in the cold. My F150 Ecoboost problems were never corrected, and I have been driving a Toyota for over a year. The problem was the truck could not climb hills without chugging or chattering and Ford can't seem to fix anything that does not trigger a trouble light. Glad those problems are behind me. Good luck!
