I think he was saying the 5.0 gets better mpg towing, not that it pulls more/harder/faster.

Really can't say the ecoboost is a failure when 46% of f150s sold has a ecoboost engine.

Not sure where he is even getting that info. The few 5.0 mileage threads, towing or not, are pretty much the same as the Eco.
So unless the 5.0 guys get in here and start posting their actual mileage, there are few numbers to base any claim on.

I'd REALLY like to see documented proof that the 5.0 gets better gas mileage while towing.

Yep, works great for me! And speaking as a weekend warrior, SUV's don't cut it, unless you want someone to cut your wood or whatever for you. This truck is a great daily driver, family vehicle that helps me get stuff done on the weekends. I came from a V8 '03 4Runner that was 2WD and get the same average day to day mileage with this Eco Screw 4WD. Plus there is more room in back with the seats up than there was in the back of that Runner, plus I have the bed, it's great

I think you guy's that tow and work these trucks everyday should have gotten a powerstroke if you wanted towing capacity and mileage.

Looking back at the threads this fellow has started, it appears he's been pissed at himself from the get-go.

Default 2012 eco

Picked mine up on Feb 21, In shop 4 times for same problem.
Miss while accelerating. 18 days without it now. Ford tells dealer there is a problem but no fix and that I should drive it. Dealer and I both agree that it is dangerous. Working with BBB Auto Line currently to attempt to resolve. I wonder how many people are just driving with problems with hopes of a fix that may never come.
Love the truck but not the problems. I expected more.
