another ecoboost oil analysis
One was a sample during my "turbo failure"
Second one was first oil change after "turbo failure".
My truck has pulled 6000lbs+ for over a 1/3 of it's life, and in ridiculous heat upwards of 120*(f). So, take it as you want.

Opinionated Blowhard
Curious, why do you think the fuel dilution dropped so much?

fixed. i forgot what kind of people we are dealing with here... in more recent news, the oil is better than what i thought it would have been, considering. i guess it's rather obvious that the turbo failure wasn't actually the case, probably a wastegate like i reckoned. as for the fuel dilution drop, not really sure on that one. I remote start/idle just as much as usual. i have a few ideas as to why but i'll wait til the next oil analysis to prove one way or another. my initial guess is that the warmer weather provided an environment where cold high idle was much less than normal and fuel was not being dumped to heat the cats up as much

Wow. Looks like 10k oil changes might be a bad idea.
I like Blackstone. I used them all the time for my Dodge diesels, 4-stroke dirt bikes and Harleys. Guess I'll have to pull a sample at my 10k oil change and see what they say...
