Had anyone had trouble breaking the plugs loose? I can't get a couple of them. Also don't have the right extender, mine is too long for the back plugs.

Thinking I may take it to my mechanic. Not ford!

Buy the correct extender. It will be cheaper than paying a mechanic and you can use it again next time.

Buy this and you can change every plug with it. It also has a magnet inside of it and will hang on to the plug for removal and install. It also has a slight swivel to it so you can get proper positioning on every plug.

How tight are they? How long of ratchet are you using?

I ended up taking it to my mechanic. It's walking distance from work and they had it done quickly. Said the one I was having trouble with was stuck and it took them a while to get loose.

I'm going to buy that Spark plug socket linked above. Looks like that would have helped a lot!

Drilled the 1/16" hole tonight annnnnnnnnd it was dry!?!?! I don't know if I should be happy or sad. Maybe the Ford tech drained it for me when they put the shield on.

Speaking of the shield, should I take it off now or should I leave it on since they flashed my PCM with the shields TSB?

I guarantee you the tech did not drain your intercooler. Some people's intercoolers are dry, others have oil or water in them. Mine had a oily mix that took a few hours to develop. Think of it as preventative maintenance.

As far as the shield, I removed mine as soon as I got the truck home.
