If a mod is totally reversible than it won't effect your warranty if you take off the part before you get your vehicle serviced for warranty claims...period.Any modification can void your warranty if the modification can be related to the part the warranty claim is being made for, as the dealership can claim that part did the damage. So unless the catch can maker is willing to shell out legal fees then NO your warranty is not safe.

I think you should read the act, it is against the law in the US to void a warranty for the installation of any after market part unless that part can be proven to have directly resulted in the failure of the warranty claim. So you come on here and LIE to these members? For what reason?

Also, since the RX system corrects what is causing all sorts of issues, including engine failures.....and it would be impossible for it to have ANY negative effect on any part of the engine, how in anyone's wildest imagination could it be twisted to cause any failure? Then we look at the fact that these systems have been in use for over (the RX system specifically) for over 12 years, and over 14,500 are in use, and in that time, and all those systems in use, NOT A SINGLE warranty has ever been voided from the use?

GM dealers are some of the biggest customers installing these and Nickey In Chicago, one of the oldest and largest dealers in the US known for there "Nickey Edition" builds installs these on every single one they build.

And the latest, some Ford dealers have recently begun to install these on problem EB trucks that the TSB's have had no effect on solving them.....so your way out of line with such outrageous posts. Contribute something positive and helpful for the members and those frustrated with the issues Ford has not been able to correct.

Um, he said if it could be traced to be part of the warranty issue, so no, he's not lying.

Who's the one lying?
So you've sold 14500 units in 12 years? That's approximately 1200/yr.
how many millions of cars have been sold in 12 years that DON'T have catch cans and never had engine failure?
Man, you make some pretty bold claims for something that's such a small statistic.

Your so far off anything related to this it's crazy. Read what I posted. Out of 14,500 plus RX systems in use over 12 years not a single owner has reported a denied warranty.....where does anything your saying have anything to do with that statement? Contribute something intelligent to the thread.

This thread is so full of bs, 12 years and no problem ...ok....if people can't tell this guy is full of it..I have some ocean front property in Idaho for y'all. You don't have to be a mechanical genius to see the serious implications if those cans or tubing become clogged, kinked or the filtration elements break down. Catch cans are great ideas but they will VOID YOUR WARRANTY PERIOD!! If the affected part it is hooked up to is the part under warranty and I could just imagine what bs a ford service manager could come up with, remember major repairs are cleared by ford and engineers so good luck with fighting against the guys who developed the truck and are actual mechanical engineers. I seriously have issues with someone who claims something as an "truth" that's seriously misleading and quite honestly very deceptive. Remember if you change a part in your vehicle or rather "add" a part you are altering it, we aren't talking about using non-motor craft filters or alternators or other generic parts that can replace stock parts , which is what that acts covers so maybe you should read the law.

Part of Fords Stated Warranty.

Emissions equipment is required by Federal law to be covered for five years or 50,000 miles.
Drive Train Warranty: In some cases the drive train warranty continues after the basic warranty has expired. This part of the warranty covers most of the parts that make the vehicle move, including the engine, transmission, drive axles and driveshaft. Like the basic warranty, consumable parts such as hoses and belts are not covered. However, most of the internal parts of the engine, such as the pistons and bearings, which are also subject to wear and tear, are covered by the drive train warranty.

PCV is part of Emmissions but hoses and PCV Valve aren't warrantee for the most part. Understantable if the seals blow out on the motor that faulty PCV Valve caused it. Usually it is the other way around and valve fails open or clogged causing oil consumption to increase. Have never heard of a dealer ship ending warranty because of PCV where the Ford PCV Valve was in place but it may have ?

How about this call ford motor company...and get it writing that this will not void any vehicle that this part (mind you not installed by a ford trained technician or actually by a people with any training what so ever) has been installed in. Then post this email/letter on the forum and guess what we all win and then this part officially does not void your warranty. I have seen cars warranties get voided for track use or off roading or down shifting erratically (black box info), you are sipping too much of the koolaide if you think they won't void your warranty. But go ahead ask them make it officially and tell them you have it installed give them your vin and lets see how that pans out. Speculation and hyperbole do not lead to truth, just rumors and opinions.
