I didn't have to deal with any of this nonsense as I bought my intake directly from sluggo after he gave up on it.

We did see dyno proven torque gains, although this is definitely the first time I spent this much on an air induction setup.

Necessary evil I guess.

So there was a little added torque with the intake, but I will take it as still no horsepower gains? Slow do you have a copy or pic of your dyno results? Just want to see if the juice is worth the squeeze on this intake or any intake for that matter.

I'm kinda sounding like a broken record on this.....but IMO there is not a reasonable "bang for the buck" with a CAI intake on a stock truck or for that matter a truck with a canned tune. You will see very little if any performance gain. If fact you might lose some bottom/midrange TQ.

If you have a true custom tune.....meaning the tune was developed with the particular intake you want installed during the tuning process, then that would be a different story. In that case there might be the potential for some significant gains.

^ incorrect.

we did not touch the tune after the intake was installed. the truck gained about 25 ft lbs just from the intake.

we don't have real numbers yet because the intake was installed on an evening we all had to be somewhere, then the next day after driving the truck to the shop from work, about 45 minute drive in 100°/100% humidity FL afternoon, we put it straight on the dyno and that's where is put down ~505RWTQ.

The HP numbers were low because of the commute, so we do not want to advertise anything official yet.

THE NUMBERS DID IMPROVE SOLEY FROM THE INTAKE INSTALLATION.

Waiting on final dyno results for this afe cai. This will determine my decision. If the #'s are good then I will call afe, leave my name and #, and tell them when they can ship the cai with filters on the same day as purchase, I will pull the trigger. I don't have the patients to put up with the BS that some of the other members on this forum had to deal with.

aFe Stage 2 Intake ordered on a Thursday delivered on a Friday and installed on Saturday!! Can't get any better than that!! All in all I'm happy took about 45 leisurely minutes to install. Had a little fitment issue on my part getting the oem clips to retain the new filter housing other than that straightforward steps! Like everyone else the suction while on the gas is noticeably louder if ur like me and listen to the truck more than the radio haha. Otherwise great product and am now contemplating the afe exhaust!
