Actually you didn't just hear about this yesterday. You heard about it 5 days ago when it was brought to your attention on July 13 at 4:24pm and you acknowledged it then with a response. Again lack of attention to details as far as you keeping track of customers concerns.

Now that everything that I was promised has showed up over 2 months later, I feel I need to do an update on my overall experience with AFE.

I am overall very pleased with the intake. I love the look and design of the intake. However my experience with AFE and their rep Steve. Has been anything short of a joke.

AFE Customer Service

When I ordered my intake I was told 3 different ship dates with the first date saying my intake is right there ready to go out the door. Each time pushing it back further. One time steve even said it was already shipped wtf!!! It was not until Sluggo called and raised hell with the VP of the company that they finally shipped his and my Intake. Then to top it off they sent the wrong filters, Steve was pushing the dry filters on me and I wanted the 5R filters. I called Steve and he said that he was going to send the Pro 5R filters at "no charge" due to the mistake and the hassle of me waiting over and over to have it shipped 4 weeks total. It is now 3 weeks later and my filters still have not shipped?? I at this point I will take it as Steve flat out lied to me. It is only when I question over and over here that they actually send them!. ?? Wow that's great customer service you have to make your bad experience public before they do anything.

AFE Lies/or dyno mistakes what ever you wish to call it
I called them out on the BLATANT mistake or "fake" dyno sheet they used in their advertising. A large company like AFE should never have to have a Forum member point out such a bad mistake. Then Jason whom has no Idea about anything dyno related "I have to ask our engineer is his answer to everything" Tells me I am wrong after I know I am right. HP and TQ will always cross at 5252 rpm. Then when he finds out I am right, he does not say "thank you for pointing that out" or "Hey sorry you were right We made a mistake" no private messages nothing. They then Change the dyno sheet/reprint it and just expect us to take it as fact.

AFE Quality
This is the only area that I have no complaints at all. I have owned a few CAIs in the past and this intake had the best quality I have had. But the above ruins it enough that I cant see myself ever purchasing one of their products again.

Overall I would steer anyone who is on the fence about this product to another intake. Although the product is nice when/if you receive it. Its not worth the hassle and hoops you must jump through to get it.

Sorry Jason but your company is kind of a joke in the area of customer service. I have been cordial only to get what I was told I was getting. I own my own company and if Steve worked for me he would be fired! You say your going to do something you do it. It should not take posts on a internet forum to make that happen. I have been nice until everything I was told I was getting showed up. But this is my true feelings.

I really hope you guys get your act together . And seeing gesture's like shipping SLOW a coupler even though he was not the original buyer is on the right track. I understand production issues and know what can be involved however your rep should not LIE to get a sale. And to be quite honest I feel like he owes me an apology, but it is what it is. Time to move on

Thank you and good luck
Geno

Amen! Glad to see at least one other person can speak the truth and say what the experience has been like. Quality only good thing about the intake but AFE as a company absolutely one of the worst I have ever dealt with. Having Jason And Steve as your "go to" guys when trying to sell a new $400 product is laughable. Steve is full of false promises and no offense Jason but you are a sales guy not an engineer or mechanic. You made numerous errors in giving info to members. From the MAF and MAP explanation to product production times, to dyno information. You guys can't even keep track of what mis-truths you told all of us. AFE really needs a better person to represent them here and on the phone when calling in. Please guys just wait on this intake. Hopefully in a year they will have their act together and price will be down. But not worth aggravation and misguided facts that are being put out at this time. Look elsewhere as there are other alternatives with just as good of numbers as these "supposedly" are at a much lower cost let alone sold by companies who know what they are talking about.

I do want to publicly thank you Sluggo for going to bat for me to make sure my intake was shipped at the same time yours was. Having a completle stranger from 2000 miles away go to bat for you is a nice act You could have raised hell and just had yours shipped and never said anything on here. But you saw the trouble I was going through as you were dealing with yours and stepped in and took care of both of us.

So, Thank You

Just putting out info so people can make an informed decision and choice. This is what forums are for. Opinions, gripes, etc etc. Not sure why you feel need for a personal attack when it didn't affect you. Just read over it and ignore it. Your little rant will not deter me or others from giving our thought and opinions.

P.S. the rest of my mods are fairing fabulously. Thanks 4 asking.
