Adding timing with tuner?
If i added a little race gas to a low tank of 93 to bring my octane up some could i add timing to make a little more power? My sct has the option to add timing in 1 degree increments. Has anybody tried this? Its the same concept as e85 tunes that allow more timing because of the higher octane. Goin to the track sat and said i may try it. Worst case scenario i see is some valve clatter at which point i would let off. Been told the computer would just pull the timing back out. I could see this if there wasnt sufficient octane available. Anybody tried it? Thanks in advance

I did that with my Mustang, and it won't let you add more timing than what is safe. I think you can add 3 degrees or so. Try it, won't hurt.
