If you are concerned about moisture look into isopropyl, or heet type products. Use it often for condensation in high HP sleds that we use for ice drags.

Amsoil... haha.... anytime you have a marketing program similar to a pyramid scheme associated with it I look the other way.. lot better options out there for the money.

you should prob research amsoil, what it was first used in, how it got started, spec, and why its marketed the way it is.

To the OP:
Do some of your own research rather than letting people on forums sway you in either direction. seems like people on here will spout out nonsense and show their ignorance. They repeat what they hear other people say and the cycle continues.

It isn't necessarily true that the marketing structure a company uses affects the quality of the product. Amsoil is some really high quality stuff. I don't agree with the pyramid scheme structure, but it is the quality that I am concerned about. Lots of independent testing out there show and prove the quality of Amsoil products. Here in Alaska, Amsoil is an awesome bargain since a quart of Mobil 1 runs around $13 after local and borough taxes.

Too each their own, I have found a lot better options out there for cheaper than what Amsoil runs. They do make a quality product but it isn't the greatest thing to happen since gasoline, and if you shop around you can find cheaper better products (except Alaska maybe... haha) Just ahte hearing people who look at the marketing push that amsoil runs and all of a sudden think it's the only thing worht putting in their engine.

I tried this in a '97 Rodeo with the 3.2 motor. It had around 110,000 miles on it and I mixed the acetone at 1 ounce to 10 gallons. I tried it because my fuel mileage had been slowly dropping and other obvious items and fuel system cleaners were not working. I ran 20 gallons through it in about a week, filled back up without adding acetone, then changed the oil. I noticed that by the end of the tank with acetone in it the pep had come back to the engine. The fuel mileage also came back up with subsequent fill ups. I kept the vehicle for 35,000 more miles and never had another fuel problem out of it.

There should not be any reason to do this on a new vehicle though. You probably wouldn't even be able to tell a difference.

It certainly doesn't boost your mileage like the claim on snopes but it will clean out your injectors when nothing else is working.
