Default Accel super coils!!

I just read were they installed these on a mustang 5.0L and gained 10hp and 9 ft/lbs. Anyone of the tuners try this on the trucks should produce the same results maybe a little better fuel economy as well. just throwing out some info i got..

Wow! We're these FI mustangs though? I thought that is where you would usually see more benefit from hotter spark and more gap in the plugs. If these are NA cars though I'll have to definitely plan on these when my coils go bad.

At what RPM range was the gain? Unless you drive in that RPM range or race it could be next to meaningless.

I'v been following these on mustang forums, and on a N/A vehicle nobody is gaining anything. The supercharged/turbocharged people are only gaining when they really increase boost. The video above is from american muscle who is trying to sell the product, so they are inclined to make it look as good as possible. 10 hp is around 2% gain which can easily be manipulated on the dyno. And for the price its over $400+, you can spend that money on alot better things that have people not affiliated with selling something saying it gains power. Thats my take anyways.

If independent testing showed the same results I would buy. The same goes for throttle bodies. Bbk 85 and ford racing 90mm show to gain quite a bit of HP but when an individual tests them back to back its 1hp which is nothing. I have to wait for dyno graphs from individuals on these 5-15hp items before I will buy them.

After seeing there dyno results in the youtube vid, I'm feeling the same way

Those results could bee seen just from an Ambient Air Temperature drop

$0.02=
I wouldn't waste your money on coils... The only way your going to increase performance with them is if there is something wrong with the originals.
