It's pretty much been answered, Sure the KR can be scaled.
If you want to see negatives across the board any tuner can do that. If you want make max power you "WILL" have to have a few positives.
---IMPORTANT--- almost ALL of the issues on more than ONE tune came this winter, one tuner even posted that they took perfectly good tunes from summer and they were not safe on the winter fuels.
If you want to know about YOUR tune just call your tuner....if you don't like what they say move on to the next. Choose your tune like you want the trucks personality to be.

I'm not saying I want to see negatives all the time, I'm fine with seeing some positive, what I'm saying is I'm making roughly the same power out of my MPT tune without having to see the knock I do on my SSI tunes, which to me means if Mike gets it dialed in and I'm in a closer +/- KR range we will really have a winner.
In any case, Shawn is a great guy to talk to on the phone, he's got a great thing going i just dont feel comfortble running it now. I pop in on the SSI forum occasionally, but the rant and rave thing turned me off to spending much time on there.

I'd rather see positive with positive challenge all the time, but that's me. No worries...
I am not sure what rant you are referring to though. That forum is one of the most chill and informative places of all of the truck forums at this point. The membership is of course much lower than this place so the volume will naturally be less, but the overall culture is much more relaxed due to exactly that as well.
SSI is seeing people coming from MPT due to the following:
1) Too high KR being widely reported - to the point the ecu cannot compensate
2) Decent base tunes, but not a lot of sophistication when it comes to tweaking
3) Base tunes that still leave something to be desired (for some!)
4) Overall drivability is not in the same league
to name a few....
It is also the case that Shawn has updated his tunes yet again. You may have seen JDF's write-ups? That is the most grueling set of tests any of our trucks has been put through and he does it on a daily basis, SSI tuned.
All that said - being tuned is a totally personal and truck dependent thing. It seems your truck likes your current tune best and it is where you feel most comfortable so it makes total sense to run it.

No I'm referring to how he went on and on and on about the SSI vs MPT thing. He killed the horse on the first day and then beat on it for a week after.
I think the same could be said about people leaving SSI and going to another tune, but I'm not here to debate and have a who's dick is bigger contest. I run multiple tunes because each has their strengths and weaknesses and I like variety
If he's updated them maybe I'll shoot him a text and see what he's come out with as of late, I like his tunes I just didn't like what the first versions of T5 were doing.

Think about this, if the administrator and/or the mods on this forum, or any other forum, went on drunken rants, the participation would plummet!
I don't care if you have the goose that lays the golden egg, the baggage that goes with it in this case isn't worth it for most people! Been there, done that!
PSA-If you are comfortable working with an alcoholic, who dosen't even own an Eco-Boost, with all the emotional maturity of a 12 year old having her first period! Then Shawn is the guy for you!
