Well that trip is NOT going to be a very good indicator of mileage with the bigger tires. I basically started my truck around 6am while I shoveled off the driveway then ran some errands. When I got home I left it running so it would stay warm for my wife and kids so essentially my truck ran from 6-8 with I would say at least 40 minutes of that Idle time. Between that and the roads and traffic down to Denver and back and idling some more and putting around town all weekend I got a surprising 12.87 mpg. Judging my the lie o meter mileage on the hwy cruising is down around 1.5-2 mpg but time will tell. Hopefully we will have decent weather this weekend as I will be putting another 6-700 miles on my truck down in Colorado. It is also worth mentioning that I now have 20K tuned miles since May. I haven't had any trouble whatsoever with the truck to this point.

The 87 econ is a huge turd. I got it as well and was sorely disappointed. I'm not the only one either. The performance/tow tunes rock.
Before I lifted my truck and bigger tires I got 25 mpg hwy using the 91 p/t from them, about 22 mixed city/hwy.
You won't be disappointed otherwise.

I was pretty surprised by the difference between the 2. I think some of it may be throttle position but it definitely feels stronger as well. I am really thinking about adding water/meth to my truck in the near future after I talk to some more people about it. I probably won't "tune" for it as I don't want to accidently run out of meth and then blow up my motor... I am probably going to put a set of turbos on as well some time this summer.
