Best news I've heard. Mine has had the bad shift from the day I bought it. Mike is going to fix mine also, something the dealer has been unable to do so far. Oh and the extra HP will be nice bonus

FX4 SCrew TT'd V6
I guess I'll wait for someone else to try it and see if they get an error. Mike thought I should be able to make those adjustments and had me call tech support. I would think they would have said something if it wasn't possible instead of saying they could try to format the device.

Another future 5 Star user here, i just ordered mine today. It really is a good deal once you find the right package; the SCT Tuner, 3 canned tunes, and three 5 Star custom tunes of your choice for $450. I don't know of a better deal out there. The hardest decision was picking 3 tunes out of the dozen options available. I am guessing i will never use the 3 canned tunes since i have all the custom ones on there. I'm really excited to get this and get it up and running.
I'll report back once i have a little time with it.

V-8 Sounds Great
People were having extremely late shifts into 6th with the updated Superchips tune. I had Superchips on my truck (never updated the tuner) and did not have the issue, but many people did. The truck was apparently shifting into 6th at 72 or something ridiculous like that for those with the issue. Glad to hear that the 5Star got rid of it for those folks.
Can't comment on MPG yet, I've been having way too much fun with the 5star tune
One thing I did notice (besides the Torque lock converter holding longer in 3rd, 4th, and 5th under moderate acceleration, which is awesome) is that the truck at low speeds will hold gears longer now as well. For instance, driving at 25-30mph used to have me in 4th and sometimes even 5th with the RPM at about 8-900 , obviously lugging the engine. Now with the 5star tune, at 25mph it stays in 3rd no matter what at roughly 1500rpm until you hit about 30mph, then it hits 4th. Very nice.
I'm liking this tune more and more as I drive it.
As far as the Options editing while trying to install, I got the same ERROR 001 message "Can't read from file." I tried calling Mike yesterday, but only was able to leave a message. I think Mike told someone that the Firmware was to blame, but I'd like to get the options feature working.
Has anyone towed with the 5star yet?
