5200 mile trip in our 3.7L SCREW
Left Concord, North Carolina to Lexington, Kentucky. Then across country to Denver, Colorado. Up to Estes Park, Colorado, Jackson Hole, Wyoming thru Yellowstone National Park to Montana. Over to Rapid City, South Dakota, and across to Ohio. South on I-77 back to North Carolina. The engine never missed a beat through all the mountains, stop & go traffic in the cities, and on the interstates with crosswinds running at speeds of 65 to 80 mph. I didn't do a scientific calculation of the miles per gallon, but after 5200 miles the little compooter thingy ended at 21.2 mpg. Think it did great for a big ol' brick shaped truck.

Very nice! I remember heading down to western Virginia and through all the mountainous terrain, back when the truck was new and got very similar mileage to what you saw there. I just took her down the beach this past weekend, nice, flat highway mileage. Kept her round 60-65 mph. Total for the trip was about 23.4 mpg's on the computer. Was averaging a real nice 24.3 before an hour traffic jam. Not to shabby for a big ole' truck though, very impressed so far.
