After running the 87 p/t tune for 1500+ miles, I have developed a harsh 2->3 upshift and a downright nasty 6->5 downshift at highway speeds. All shifts were smooth right after the tune was loaded. Must be the adaptive algo messing up the tuner's shift strategies after the truck has been driven a while...
A few weeks back, I returned to stock and the 2->3 and 6->5 shifts were still hard, just not as harsh as with the tuner.
So I guess,after a few thousand miles, the trans shifts hard in stock form and the tune bumps up the line pressure but does not create the hard shifts...
I then reloaded the 87 and it's been shifting smoothly about 70% of the time with the random nasty 2-3 upshifts (less than 1000mi on the reload)...

Have you had your truck updated from ford recently? Mike suggested doing that to get rid of drivability issues. Mine was horrible, bad surging from my intake, hard shifting, not incredible power, ect and I took it to ford to reflash. The strategy was so new mike nor sct had heard of it but a couple days later e emailed me my new tune and it is a different truck. Soo smooth and powerful.
I still want to make it clear that I love 5 Star tuning. This only happens when I accelerate without a down shift. Once the tranny shifts, this EB is a beast.

This is what it showed after the ford flash. And yes, there is for sure a newer one than October. Just go in saying you truck stutters and shifts hard I'm sure they'll find the new file and flash it for you.

Ordered The Livewire TS 5015 with (SCT tunes and 6 custom tunes from 5 star)
Choose These custom tunes..
-87 Perf/Tow -91 Perf/Tow
-91 Perf Only -93 Perf Only
-87 Economy -91 Economy
I Will spend sometime with them and let you guys know how I make out.
Hoping to use the economy tunes 6-7 months of the year due the winters we get here.
No need for power with the snow and ice. I Ordered the 91 Octane because we only have one gas station that sells 93.
It was a hard decision between 5 star and Livernois. But I like the options of SCT and like the idea of using other tunes (Full-Race,Unleased, Etc)

Well my 91 performance tune is running like crap...plugs are all black and she be puffing black smoke. Rich as a pig. Reloaded stock file for now as i have another issue with truck...this tune has been revised 3 times now
