I did try this, dealer found no codes, took for test drive and "could not replicate customer complaint". Took no action, told me to come back if it was doing it, so they could take a ride with me to verify issue.

No update.

Ouch, you need a new dealer. Do you do any other business with them like oil changes or have a history with them? If so, I would remind them of that and tell them that it would be a shame to have to take that business elsewhere all for something as small as an update. Updates should be checked and done when you get your oil changed by them anyways if they were a good dealer. If you don't do business with them then there will be no hard feelings when you go out and find you a good one.

I will be looking for another dealer, in the last year, I have purchased a couple of new vehicles from this one, so was thinking that they would simply service me without going through all the validation efforts. It would only take them about 15 minutes to just update the PCM.....there is another dealer much closer to the house, I'll try them, but may be awhile. Pain in the *** to get it to them, wait, then pick up later on.

I want to start by saying I absolutley love my SCT with 5 star tunes. And it amazes me that when you call the customer service line for 5 star tuning, it is actually Mike the tuner that answers the phone to provide you with assistance....I do however have an issue with the 93 pert/tow tune. When loading the tune, initially it delivers awesome, smooth power that feels very torqued in the low and mid range. After a few hundred miles the power comes on in spurts after a sluggish delay. Its just not as smooth of a delivery but still throws your head back..........don't know if this is the transmission adaption but in my mind's eye the torque or Hp curve would look like a stair case. That's the best way I can describe it.
Anyone have the same experiences. Could this be caused by the notorious intercooler condensation or inproper spark plug gapping? Thanks

Have you had your truck updated from ford recently? Mike suggested doing that to get rid of drivability issues. Mine was horrible, bad surging from my intake, hard shifting, not incredible power, ect and I took it to ford to reflash. The strategy was so new mike nor sct had heard of it but a couple days later e emailed me my new tune and it is a different truck. Soo smooth and powerful.

Mike at 5 Star did well by us!

Mike's tune, combined with the Stainless Works Catted Downpipe and High Flow exhaust made roughly 85 ftlbs of torque at its peak and 60 ftlbs through the entire rpm band compared to a stock truck. That's something a V8 can't do!
