That was kinda my point back when I posted:

. . . that all the tuners (except Superchips and BD) are hitting the same "limit" at around 50-60 hp over stock. It just so happens that this limit is only 10-20 hp higher than the 87 octane limit. Except it's possible that they aren't pushing the limits of detonation or "major damage". It's possible that the turbo's are just out of capacity before any bad stuff happens. This would explain why the 87 and 93 power numbers are so close. Also understand that when I use the term "limit", that includes some safety margin.

Those are the same strategies that I picked. I opted not to get the 93 tune because I don't want to be right on the edge with octane differences. I figured that the 91 Octane tune with mostly 93 Octane fuel would give a bit of an Octane Buffer.

I am intersted in trying out my 87 Ecotune...but the 87 perf/Tow tune is such a joy to drive I haven't got around to it

OK, I know I shouldn't have waited until the last day of the sale, but how do you get the sale price? I don't see anything on their website mentioning a Labor Day sale, and when I add it to my cart it's $429.

Have to click on Online Store...then Holiday Sale near the bottom right in the long menu...

DieselDawg,
When you received your tuner, were the three custom tunes preloaded or did Mike email them, you download and then upload the tunes on the device? FYI, I did send mike my ECU stratagy.
My reason for ordering the three tunes that I had chosen was simply because of the fact that 93 octane is getting sooo much harder to find here in the mid West. (Omaha).
I hope I am as happy with the tunes as much as you and other board members are. I'm keeping my expectations low in hopes of not being as disappointed if I were to have higher expectations! Lol..

They are preloaded. First hook your tuner up to your computer to set it up on your PC (don't have to but a good idea so you can download your stock strategy there for safekeeping). Then when you get your unit follow the interactions on the "cardboard display board" on the right side of the sheet...very simple. DO NOT start your vehicle during the upload procedure...could fry your ECM. You do have the turn the key (sometimes once...sometimes twice...but never all the way to start). The first time the download takes about 6-8 minutes or so. Then get ready for a new truck

Thanks DieselDawg!
I've used tuner's on my '94, 99, 01, 05 and soon on my '11 . All but one were canned tunes, for the '05 I used a Gryphon (PHP) with a custom tune. However with the EB, I'm hoping with the two hair dryers bolted to it, responds better than the 5.4l. That is assuming that my turbos never run in N/A mode.......sarcasm of course! I really miss wwest on the boards....NOT. lmao
