Default Can't wait!

Hey ya'll, first post...man, oh man I can't wait to get home from this deployment! I have my tuner sitting at the house waiting to be installed. I bought it when they had the 1 free tune deal going. Now I just have to choose which one to get first! I plan on getting the 3 for $180, but figure for now I will prolly try the 87 perf/tow. I read about the custom 93/no tow and it sounds great, but I WILL be towing a decent amt so that wouldn't work for me right away. Great posts all around, really helping me decide...and get all stoked up to get back to the good ole USA!

Ok folks help me out!

My credit card is locked and loaded, ready to buy tomorrow!

I am set on the 87 perf./tow and the 87 economy for sure, just not sure which should be my third tune.

Im not a racer, never tow, but do haul the occasional heavy load in the bed (happy homeowner stuff). I thought about the trans. calibration only, but I feel that using either of the other tunes kinda over rules that as they fine tune the transmission as well, unless someone can shed more light on the benefit of that vs. using the 87 per./tow or economy. The other thought was getting the 93 perf./tow just for the fun of it.

Thoughts?

If you go with Mike, 2 tunes for $160 and get the 87 for every day, and a 93 because that will get your juices flowing when you realize what you have.

I need to buy the tuner as well, so money wise its cheaper for me to buy the SCT device that comes with 3 of his custom tunes, thats the only package they sell with his custom tunes, im not interested in the SCT tunes.

I was going to surf eBay for awhile and try to find a cheap used one and get it unlocked, however as of the last week or so my 2-3 upshift has been getting rather harsh and annoying so I rearranged some funds in order to afford the tuner earlier.

Who needs to eat lunch every day anways, ha ha.

Ramen Noodles will be your friend!

You will love the shift pattern Mike put in these tunes.

If you can get 93 where you live go for the 93 P/T for your third tune/map.

Ordered mine today. I was leaning towards the Livernois tuner for a long time, but wanted to see some competitors dyno numbers before ordering.

Now that dyno numbers are out, the SCT 93 tune has made the most power and they all seem to gain about the same, except Superchips and BD.

I ordered the 87 tow/performance, 93 tow/performance, and 87 economy, which I never plan to use.

The 87 tow tune gains a lot of torque, gets good reviews, and has been tested to double the towing weight I'll ever see. That'll be my daily driver. I just got the other 2 tunes because they were essentially free. I'll use the SCT 93 tune when I go to the track and maybe try the 5Star 93 as a comparison.

Bucket, I am sure you don't have to decide right when you buy the unit on which tunes to get. Just get the two tunes you want and Mike can probably email the other tune to you when you decide.
