You guys may already know this but after you reflash your ECU. It takes approximately 100+ miles for the system to get accustomed to the new tune. Most of the newer vehicles are equipped with Adaptive Learning to learn the driving style of the driver as well as the tune in the truck. So this is probably why you aren't feeling the instant gratification. On the back of the package from 5 Star it even makes reference to the adaptive learning system employed on most newer vehicles. Just a thought, I am not an expert by any strech of the word but figured I would toss out the idea.

My shifting smooths out after several miles, always shifts hard right after a flash.

I have put about 200 miles on my 5Star 93 Perf/Tow Tune and had the same symptoms when I first flashed it. It seemed it took about 100 miles or so to get all of the power and now over the last 100 miles or so the shifting has really started to smooth out. I have even picked up .5 MPG on my daily commute and that is with having a lot of fun over the past week or so. Can't wait to see what the 93 Eco Tune will do to my MPG's once it comes out. Also my Solo Exhaust seems to have deepened a little more as well. Even has somewhat of a diesel sound too it at WOT. I have a buddy who has a tuned 08 Duramax who rode in my truck and said it is by far the quickest truck he has been in.

Hey man just wanted to give you a heads up, the 93 Econo Tune is out. I got my 93 Econo last week from Mike at 5 Star by email. I wasn't sure if you were aware based on your previous post.

The tune I received from 5 star was 93 custom tune..... But in the email he wrote. DO NOT TOW!

I asked him for his best tune he can produce. And that's what he came up with..... I guess we will see what happens in the next 100 miles.

I will be interested to hear the results! What tune do you have installed now? I currently have 5 Stars 93 Perf/Tow if the new tune he did custom for you is quicker than that...well I might have to get him to hook me up with that!

Nice!!. I would love to see the track and dyno numbers on that tune. I bet it's a screamer. I remember Mike telling someone that he could push the 93 octane tune much harder but didn't want to loose the tunes ability to tow up to the max of the trucks rating. I would have to agree with Mike cause I like having the towing ability with the tune.
