'11 FX4 SCREW 5.ohh!
How much do you want to spend.
Here's the list of engine mods I was thinking (dreaming) about doing:
SCT x3 Tuner with Tunes from Mike at 5 star
Boss 302 Intake
American Racing Long tube Headers w/High flow cats
True Dual Exhaust
That's about $4000 or so in parts.

If you want the best sounding F150 in town, do a Borla touring system as it sounds unbelievable. I am not a big fan of oiled filters as I have yet to see reasonable gains by dropping in some oiled gauze filter.

Accell performance Ignition coils.
There are other places that have them for about $50 - $100 cheaper.

But hey, as JD Wentworth always says ... It's your money.

My point has been that the money you save getting the 5.0 buys you a tuner, CAI, and header-back exhaust with money to spare. So performance for the price, the 5.0 wins. Throw that value out the window and it just becomes a pissing match of whose wallet is deeper.
That said, if I wasn't looking at buying land I'd have those headers. Saving pennies until I know. I've even been driving my Lincoln LS(5 speed MTX ) more often because it gets 24-26 vs 18-20 for the truck.

Thing is, we knew we were buying a smaller motor only to find it bigger than your 5.0 ;-)

I am happy as can be with my 13 super crew 5.0, 3.55 rear locker. I have owned lots of trucks over the years, 89 F150 with 300 I6(still bet that thing is running), 98 f150 4.6, 03 f150 4.6, 04 f150 5.4, switched to chevy 4.8 then 3 5.3 trucks! The 13 5.0 got me back to Ford and I have no regrets! I am in love with it. No fancy turbos or 6 cylinders! I respect the innovation of the eco boosts but am happy with the 5.0 and would love to hear about more power add on or mpg boosts.
