Sounds like good improvement, but the overall design of the can will need to be changed to prevent pull through and be able to effectively properly evacuate the crankcase. Also, with the RX system, only one hole needs to be drilled and that is only if the passenger side inlet tube does not already have a molded in blank. And drilling one small hole does not destroy anything...there are plugs that look OEM to put back to stock easy enough.

There are several principals that the RX can uses no other we have seen on the market do to prevent pull-through....and that is why we keep this challenge open. To date, there has never been an equal, and 99% not even close as the tests here have shown. But it is a win to all to see improvements like this being made.

The RX sound like a better buy still even though its more expensive. It catches fuel and water type mixture and not oil. The way it's setup seems to allow oil to retain in the engine but contaminants to be caught by the catch can.

It catches oil too, it just catches fuel and water too, and all components in greater quantity with more efficiency. You want to catch the oil, it doesn't get back to the crankcase through the intake.

We have addressed the pull through very well with the revisions to the diffuser and dual media. Our design has come around to the point of several of the most recent test vehicles have not gotten pull through.

There is a few nameless members we are working with that will share the results very soon and even better than that is we will be selling the UPR catch cans with the all the new Upgrades for a package deal and saving over buying the pcs. individually.

UPR supports and will always do what's in the best interest of performance and results.

Most importantly anyone running the UPR Catch Can can PM me and I will steer them in the right direction to get the same results we are getting to show how much stand behind our products.

Put it up for another long term totally independent test like the OP did so there is no biased. Have had this challenge out for years, and I guarantee even with much improved parts, unless the 2 area's the current design cannot be changed to correct you will still see similar results. Even the other 3 on the market that do approach 80% effectiveness still allow the final 15-20% through, and with todays DI engines you will have intake valve coking with any oil entering.

I learned from my test that pull through can be deceptive. If you only inspect the hoses fittings, they can look clean at times even if not catching much. I assume this is due to the contaminated vapor zipping through the can and hoses, and never dropping the vapor to liquid form. So maybe that isn't pull through as much as it is 'less than stellar' collection.
In any case, it's good to see improvements.

Thanks Joe. I am anxious to see your results. Your can is very high quality, and you seem to stand behind your products.

Default New filter material from some very big filter manufacturers.

Just wanted to say that is exactly where the SS media allowed the vapor / mist pull through. We now have a new type of oil mist filter for the diffuser that eliminates this problem all together. It gets run in series with the SS media to work as a strainer, then into the oil mist filter where it cools and collects and drips to the bottom of the catch can.
