5.0 Resonator question

Just did flow masters on my truck and mustang duals on both. Removed the res on the truck and a lot better sound. Defiantly low rumble and no loss in power. Will post pics in my garage. Ended up putting tips on the next day (yesterday Saturday).
I have noticed I am not as hard on the throttle so getting better gas mileage. Good luck won't go wrong.

I have a aero turbine at3030 non resonated in place of my stock muffler. I swapped out to stock resonator with the intermediate pipe off of a 2010 f150 as it is a straight bolt on. It was way to loud mainly because the aero muffler does not do a whole lot of muffling. But the thing that got me was with the reso delete, it would make a strange thump sound when decelerating, sort of like a backfire, but it is contained within the pipe, not at the exit. It is hard to explain, but it sounded like it was within the driver side converter. I am not sure why it would cause this.

Anyone wanting a great sounding truck with hardly any drone should look into the 70 Series BigBlock Flowmaster. I just swapped it with the factory muffler and left the resonator on.

Was your muffler shop able to just cut out the stock muffler and put the Flowmaster in place and maintain the ability to reinstall the stock resonator if wanted I assume? I have a resonator delete pipe installed right now but want some more sound, so I'd like to swap the muffler but if I determine there to be too much drone I could put throw the stock resonator back on and sell the delete pipe kit.

About two weeks after I bought my truck I had a magnaflow 5x8x18 (SI/DO) installed and kept the res. after a few months I decided I wanted it louder so I had the res removed and it made it twice as loud. On long trips or while towing my boat it was just too loud so after about 6 months I had a shorter res put back on. I noticed no change in power/performance/MPGs between stock and the magnaflow with or without the res. All are straight thru pieces including the factory muffler so it makes sense that there would be no gains.
