Do you happen to know which fuel they used for these tests? Regular gasoline at which octane, or did it happen to be E-85?
thanks for your response

This is so old news and dyno be dammed just drive them they both have advantages and dissadvantages I think the big advantage is when the ECO blows buy while your sitting at the E85 pump Calculating if the reduced MPG is worth the few pennys saved

I ran e85 in my 5.0 and my butt dyno says the truck was faster.
I also ran in our local drag races, 1/8th mile with tree lights and time slip. My ET's with 87 fuel best was 10.01. My ET with e85 fuel on a hotter humid day best was 9.96. Got a lot more wheel spin on e85... that could have just been track conditions though. E85 had top speed on 1/8 was 72mph, 87 fuel top speed 71mph.

What wins races is the area under the hp/torque curve on a dyno.

The 5 point slow will lose...end of story.

People are arguing about what 5700 lb truck is faster, seriously. I can see a discussion about towing, but speed? I'll put this to bed, who wants to line up against my SHO?
