Look up 5star tuning on the web. He has an all in one deal on the boss intake manifold, afe cai and sct tuner in a package deal. I am going to do this package in the near future and also change my rear emd gear ratio.

First mods we do are normally Intake, manifold, header, exhaust, tuner. Those items are good for a big boost in power.

Wanting a quick thread for 5.0 guys/gals to be able to read and learn from people who have done for example a Cold air intake, or an exhaust and what they think of it. Maybe with enough info it can be made into a sticky! Thanks in advance.
First thing I would do is install larger/stickier tires. The 5.0 has close to 400 hp even at stock and is MUCH more power than the tires can handle unless you are at highway kinds of speeds. My '11 F-150 does have the smallest tires Ford fits to an '09+ half-ton (235/75R17) but it is very easy to overpower them at anything less than fourth or fifth gear.

The stock 5.0 truck does not have to much for the stock tires at all.

You wont see a huge increase in power from the intake alone, but on this board they have been proven to help with mileage, throttle response and some getup.

Good deal on the Airaid intake here, its a very popular system for the 5.0
