Default 5.0, p0208, p0308

Went to meet a guy to sell old truck parts to and noticed after a few minutes my CEL was flashing. Then I felt shuddering on the highway. Even at a light letting off the brake I could feel it.

Saw the 0208 code. Decided to try a KAM reset first. Still showed. Returned to stock tune and then put regular 87 (had been running E85 for two weeks with my Omega tune no issues) and then the CEL came right back on.

Bad week for my truck for me. Had nail in tire, my amp steps are chipping, spilled a can of soda in passenger seat, this issue AND I tapped a cement post at the gas station parking lot leaving some (thankfully) minor damage on the bumper. Also popped off the tow hook.

Of course this engine issue happens on a Saturday where I'm reluctant to do anything except until Monday when I take it to the dealer.

Update.

Dealer said a rodent got up there and chewed up knock sensor and injector wiring. $580 to correct!

Sorry for the rough week, and thanks for the info on the codes and rodent. You need a cat to take care of that thing. Ouch on the price! glad you got it resolved. good luck in the future!

I had only been parking outside for a few weeks due to some room painting/moving stuff into the garages. And this is what I get!

As I've said elsewhere, I've had too many cats and I've had too many rats, and I'll take the cats any day because cats don't eat $300 wiring harnesses. Fortunately, I was able to get it repaired for free (I had some of the proper gauge wire and my dad is exceptional with a soldering iron), but I feel your pain on the rodent damage. I have no mercy for those little buggers.

Rabbits, squirrels and the occasional possum and cat in my area. The kit wasn't expensive, it was 3-4 hours of their labor. And I didn't even get pictures out of the ordeal either.
