5.0 Knocking sound at idle

Ahhh, welcome to the knocking club! Ford will have you believe it is normal. How do you feel after purchasing a brand new truck with an engine knock? I can tell you that Fords competitors engines are quiet. So, is this knock normal? I dumped mine with only 3,600 miles on it. It will get louder! Mine was so loud. Especially when it was warm outside. This engine will self destruct in short time. It cost me a few grand and much shopping, but I'm happy I did it. I feel bad for all that have this issue. It seems worse in the Mustang community. I will never buy a Ford again.
Sounds like you need to sell your truck and mustang and go buy you an OBAMA MOTORS TRUCK...................SEE YA.....Get out of town

Keep talking pee-wee.....your about show everyone on this post how stupid you really................Like I said if your just here to bash Fords when you own 2 then go somewhere else and buy you a GM or maybe a Fiat...they got your tax money as well............as far as my tax dollars bailing out GM....I'm still pissed as hell ...

I never said what ride I bought. I am aware of piston slap on GM engines. Not a big deal. On some models it happens on start up. Again, Not a big deal. Plus they back it up with a bigger warranty than Ford anyhow. My 2011 F150 knocked while the engine was running...THAT is a BIG DEAL. It really surprises me how many of you will bash other car makes when the one you buy is ridden with major issues.

Its POS chevys i owned in the past that made me buy a Ford......until i bought a Ford I thought it was normal to carry a quart of oil around with me everywhere i went and it was just the normal thing to do to take it to shop every month to fix something...........So thanks Chevy for making a great POS....
