Is the battery covered under the power train warranty? I am over the mileage for the bumper-to-bumper coverage.

I think like a 1 yr warranty but if you buy a new one you get a 3 yr warranty. Stupid right!

Installed an Optima yellow-top today. Will see if the problem returns over the next few days, based on the weather.......

Nearing 12 volts is a good cranking voltage. I have a clamp over meter that reads the amps flowing thru the cables. A cranking starter motor will draw maybe 100 amps while one beginning to spin up may pull way over 200 amps to get going. It is easy to diagnose a starter motor problem with it. If UR cranking voltage rapidly drops off from near 12 volts to below 10 U have a problem Houston in the battery probably. Ur battery should start up 20 times easy over say 10 minutes without charging. It is a good load test in the field.

Thanks, good info. It will be cold tonight, so tomorrow morning will be a good test. Will post my results.
