5.0 cold start hesitation
Finally had time to put some miles on my 2012 5.0 and was wondering if anyone noticed a hesitation immediately after cold start? I thought it might have been the fuel but i have done 2 fill ups and the truck still has the hesitation for the first 5-10 minutes after start up.

I'm experiencing the same thing. Posted on this site back in July. I'm caught in a cirlcle of phone calls between Dealership and Ford. Neither know what to do and no one has yet to look/work on my truck. Extremely frustrating.

My new truck does this as well. Runs like a#$ for the first few minutes. Not impressed with the tune Ford has put on these trucks. I assume a good tune would resolve the issue as seen in another thread.

Well, aren't you feeling like a smart@$$. Damn it, my truck arrived on a rainbow, pulled by unicorns. Did you know that all eco boost trucks are made at Santa's workshop by mentally challenged elves?

Could it be bad gas, or improper plug gaps? This is not a normal trait for this engine, and I would take it in to the dealer, and have then fix it.

Can't speak for others. My truck is now on its second tank of gas. First one was put in by the dealer 100 miles away. I even filled up with mid grade (89) instead of regular unleaded. Hard to believe both tanks would cause this. Going to have to check into it. Maybe I should have kept the Lightning and left well enough alone......
