Just got done pulling a 2600lb dump trailer loaded with a 3900lb with my 2011 f-150 crew cab. I was suprised how well this truck did. The engine and transmission seem not no even stress at all. I was worried the little base engine handling it. NOTE: I would usually never use this trailer on a standard receiver, but this truck doesn't have one installed (yet). But it was safe and kept it of any highway. Still impressed... Good job Ford on making a good truck...

If I'm not mistaken, your suspension was soft because that's a gooseneck. You'd have a lot of lever action going on hooked up like that!

What's the towing capacity of that truck?

I used a step up adaptor since I haven't install the hockup in the bed yet. The truck is rated for 6100lbs

I'd imagine once you get it hooked up properly, your suspension should feel better.

Actually, it is rated at 5700lbs, as says the Ford Website. Can honestly say I've never seen a trailer setup like that. But hey, at least you didn't have to travel far.

Besides the redneck hockup. I will say if the trucks only rated for 5700lb. It sure seems like it could handle at least the load I made it do. All be loaded properly done. Is it just the engine the reduces the towing between the 5.0 and 3.7 or is there any other differences?
