3.7 v6 perfomance
I have been looking for a while now for performance upgrades for my 3.7. I already have true duel magnaflow lightning inspired side exhaust. I just ordered Roush cold air intake, and talked mike from 5star tuning about a custom tune. He told me with my whole set up headers would give a big boost in hp but I cant find headers for my v6. He said look into the new v6 mustang for other parts, even though the 3.7 in my truck and the 3.7 in the mustang are different engines some parts like headers might be able to cross over, same thing with a bigger throttle body. Is there truth to this? Or should I just keep waiting for someone to come out with headers for my sixer? And getting a v8 isnt a good answer I love my v6 and I wanna see what it can do. Cant wait for my parts to come in!

This isn't an aftermarket exhaust, it's what we get stock with the 3.7 in our trucks. I was under the truck checking the work they did on the drive shaft and took this pic. I think it's a good setup with these pipes, we are getting 300hp, so it must flow fairly well. I'll bet our stock exhaust manifolds flow well also. I haven't seen headers for our motors anywhere yet, but I look forward to see if they add any hp when they come out.

Ford uses this setup for scavaging the cyls, much like a 2 cycle for power/fuel economy. The pipes are huge for the lil plant. Some like the exhaust with muffler removed and out in front of rear tire. Some sick idea huh! Best chance for power increase economically is to lighten the truck and put on smaller diameter tires.
