3.7 timing chain
Seeing that the 3.7/3.5/3.5 ecoboost all share the basic engine design, does the 3.7 have the possibility of timing chain stretch or the tensioner running out like the EB motors do?
I was under the vague impression there was possibly fuel migration to the oil and guys running long oil change intervals, combined with the obviously much higher torque and HP numbers that had something to do with the timing chain issues in the EB.
Its late and I am tired, so might not be making sense.
I have been changing oil at 8000 km intervals, and started using synthetic after the first 20,000km or so, Always fomoco filters.
I'd like to have this truck another 4 years and just want to know if I should be keeping a closer ear or eye on things.
