Default 23000 mile review..ECO...

23000 miles and just got mine back from Ford, missing at cold start, Dealership flashed, then I had the IC block off done, then they threw a spark plug at it, finally #2 injector replacement. This fixed the problem..

OK, its amazing how your fuel economy can sky rocket if you can stay under 60mph..I went from a best of 22.3mpg to 24.4mpg(with 300 miles on the tank). I know mine is a 2WD, however this is/was local driving, about 80% highway with only 10 or so cold starts(this is huge for great fuel economy).

The engine runs good, I have changed oil at 10000 mile intervals. I dont like my first Oil analysis, and will change oil early this time, maybe ~8000m. Because of the injector replacement I am really going to monitor fuel oil dilution.

I lowered my rear by 2 inches and truck likes it, as well as fuel economy and my eyes(rear end down out of air).

The seats are too complicated for their our good, and i am considering an extended warranty just for that issue, both seats have had work done to them. driver had heat element and blower motor replaced, passenger has had track adjusted/replaced. I would not wanted to pay that tab from the dealership, would have been over $1000.

I want to chip but with the injector issue, I may hold off.

I will still say, this is the best truck I have owned....Hope this helps give feedback to others who want to know how they are holding up.

Good review, thanks for your input. I only have 10,500mi on my 2011 EB, and I'm loving it as well. Do you have pics of your leveled truck?

Good to hear. I've got nearly 20k miles on mine with no major issues. I had the shudder but the last TSB seems to have cleared it up. Oh, and I had a blown fuse that disabled the truck and it died while I was accelerating (I think this was a fluke thing). Overall this is by far the best and nicest truck I have ever owned or even driven.

19K here and have to say that this truck has been a pleasure to drive in power and fuel economy. Don't know what I'd do if they started having problems tomorrow because this trucks just awesome.

I spoke too soon. Just noticed a tranny fluid leak. Took it in and will be a week to get a new front pump installed. FYI this is not an EcoBoost issue but a transmission issue.

Deer, good point, I still need to get mine up on the lift and check it out..

Boosted, I dont have any pictures on here, but It came out perfect. I have 1/2" higher in the back then front. Sits very level. Its a worthwhile mod and one of the best for cosmetics. I tapped the shackles with grease fittings and I can grease them.

I have window screen on the IC and radiator to keep the bugs out.

I want to do the AFe/tune/exhaust but am going to wait until my possible injector issue is good..I will know by the oil analysis.

BTW-My mileage dropped to 24.1mpg on the tank, after 400 miles on the tank. Still good numbers and maybe bust 600miles on the tank.

I love this truck..

Interesting, mine has had the cold miss from new, I complained about 2 months after I bought it and they stated that they flashed it. Still has the same cold miss after 12k miles and I have been to busy to take to dealer. Going next week as over the last 3 weeks, now sometimes my wipers won't come on except on high mode. And when this happens, my seat memory won't work. Since it's been raining here in the Houston area allot, this gets hairy driving down the freeway.

I'll mention the #2 injector issue you had and see what they say.

Going in for wiper issue, rear seat area rattle (again), cold miss, sync re-flash & oil change. I will not let them add the deflector to the IC as I have not had any shuddering issue at all.

I had to take mine back 3 times and tell them it only misse
S at cold start. It got so bad it set light/code, so I got lucky. There is an injector problem/fuel sensitivity with this fuel system.

X2 on the fuel economy. I take the back roads now to keep the mileage up. And to avoid the yahoos crowding the interstates

Are you guys with the miss problem using the Top Tier fuels recommended in your owners manual? I try to use Top Tier fuel most of the time, have 12K on the truck and about 1000 miles of towing without problem. Top Tier fuels are high detergent fuels designed to keep injectors, plugs, valves clean. Exxon/Mobile, Shell, Union 76, Phillips 66 are some of the category. It has nothing to do with octane.
