The the 2017 model resolved the issue ie does it need catch can as well?

Has the 2017 model resolved the issue fuel valve ie does it need catch can as well?
Thanks, just bought my new pickup , hadn't heard of the issue, hoping its resolved in latest model. Does the addiction of the oil catch can affect warranty?

Whether or not it affects your warranty is up to your dealer. My guess would be that the 17' models could still benefit from an aftermarket setup that wouldn't let all the blowby and waste go back into the intake side.
If you're worried about warranty problems -- the catch can is a pretty simple install and if you save the OEM parts it'd take you about 30min to put it back the way it was for a warranty claim.
