That plastic's been gone for awhile. Never felt a need to have the TSB done, and never really could understand how it would help anyway. I'm happy with my tunes and the strategy they are based upon, so I always request no TSB's to be performed when I have it serviced if any are available. I've had the 89 p/t tune on for 3,000 miles straight now with no issues. That's the longest stretch I've kept it on the same tune (even stock tune). I think this is my favorite daily driver and towing tune. One of these days I'm gonna have to load the 91 perf tune and see if it makes a noticeable difference. Stock, it's still fun, but just doesn't compare to being on the tunes.

Like I stated before I think they slowed down the boost a little in lower rpms so that it doesn't slug in. Just a smooth stream. But ya after being tuned no need for TSB's. The perf tune makes the truck rev happy. But it is effective at making the truck take off. I had Mike make my 91 perf act the same as my 91 p/t but with the perf boost and timing. So I have the same drivability but the extra power.

My dad has a 14 supercab 5.0 4x4 with 3.73s and i have a supercrew eco with 3.31s and YES the 5.0 will spin off the line but my eco has power everywhere where the 5.0 only has power when you get on it enough for it to downshift. My truck is now tuned and i would NEVER downgrade to a 5.0. The v8 has a great sound but thats it

I removed that from my early build '14. No need to make the intercooler less efficient.

Kind of makes you wonder how much Ford spent to make that plastic shield, install it on thousands of vehicles, only to later remove it and throw it away. Gotta love it when a plan comes together.

My review did not put down the Ecoboost at all but I guess you're displeased because I didn't blindly praise the Ecoboost without comparison.

You are probably the biggest 5.0 basher here on the forum so your comment isn't surprising.

Most people would never use a tune, void their warranty, likely cause damage to the engine and cause a short life. If these tunes were possible without damage, Ford would had surely done their own to really put their competition behind.
I just bash fools, some of whom are named mike. You are wrong much of the time and just pointing out to others so they are aware. you can cry about me all you want but I didn't post this nonsense, you did. Glad you like the 5.0 most owners do.
