I've been having the SAME exact issue with my 2014 F150 4x4, started at just over 36,000 miles. First time happened to my wife pulling out in traffic, started off.. then went into limp mode with no acceleration and wrench came on. Took to dealer, never heard of it.. no codes, sent on our way. Another week, happens again same deal no codes, dealer can't find anything wrong. I go buy a code scanner and leave it hooked up and running, happened today twice, both time in heavy traffic. Now i get a "pre-code" P2112" Throttle Actuator Control System Stuck Closed" and was able to record what happened.

Based on what I'm reading (1) my dealer should have had SOME inclination of the problem, not like this is some "one off mystery" (2) I also read they extended warranty on other Fords with similar issues with TB issues (3) if this drive-by-wire deal is so unsafe it should be recalled period, this can seriously put you in harms way in a hurry.. I guess I will need to contact Ford Customer Service preemptively to see what they will do since I'm out of the 3-36K warranty. My wife's already wanting to just get rid of it, she basically doesn't trust the truck at this point and what's to say that a new TB won't fail in the same manner?

Replacement throttle body on RockAuto, $74.79 with no core required.

Not OEM, but likely as or more reliable if the OEM's have been failing. New, not reman.

Thanks. By chance have the link? I looked on their site and see $103 after $30 core http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/f...ttle+body,6472

Search for STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS S20062... That's for my 2011 EcoBoost, might be different on later years?

The second link shows the manufacturer page... Says it's for a 2011-2013 F150 Ecoboost, doesn't list 2014...

But looking further, the Cardone throttle body lists the same part (676022) for 2011 - 2014, so my guess is that the Standard Motor S20062 also works in 2011-2014, but the manufacturer just never updated the cross reference.

Thanks. I've emailed them to check. I also called the dealer this morning, what sucks is the truck started bucking at low speeds before the 36K mile warranty was up, this + what sounded like a bad U joint had them replace the drive shaft. Well, after that the bucking & U joint noise continued. So I'm sure that these were two very different problems and I'm betting the bucking was the start of the TB failure and I'm still chasing the noise in the rear end.

You can always get Ford corporate involved and ask for good-will coverage of the repair... But honestly, given the hassle of having them reproduce, identify, and repair the issue plus the hassle of getting them to cover all or part of it, I think I'd just buy the $75 throttle body, swap it in, and see if it fixes the problem.

I never got a response from Standard Motor on the S20062 or from the dealer, or a response yet from Ford Customer Service on here.. I'm new to the forum, looked at the sticky and sent them a private message.

I got a full data recording of when this happened, my question is should there be something else that's in the dataset that I should look at? I don't have an issue replacing, just don't want to continue to throw parts if there's a way to validate that this is the actual failing part.

I saw that ford is offering 2 year unlimited mileage on parts? http://www.fordparts.com/FileUploads...y_update_3.pdf

I found one Ford dealer that has the TB for $107 + $15 shipping. So if it comes with the 2yr warranty I think I'll do that.
