I have a 2014 F150 FX4 that won't start. Lights come on and the repair shop was able to jump the starter. Si I know the battery and starter are good. I get the starter system fault, hill descent, overtempt, wrench symbol and other cues. I didn't see a blinking security light. Repair shop couldn't fix it so I towed it to another shop. This place said it was a bad PCM and was $1150 to replace plus it needed to be reprogrammed. I called the dealership and they confirmed the price and asked for the VIN. They gave me the part number DL3Z-12A650-UANP. If they asked for the VIN, does that mean it needs to be re-programmed or is this a "plug and play?" There is no codes coming up with scan tool either. Just want to make sure I am covering all my options. Thank you.
