Default Are 2014 ecoboosts still having issues?

Looking at a new fx4 are there still issues with the 2014 production ecoboost? Or should i get a 5.0l?

I don't know about 2014, but all other years considered, the problem rate is very, very small compared to the number of trucks sold. This or any forum is not a representation of failure rate.

Unless you need the extra torque for towing heavy loads, I wouldn't chance it and would stick with the 5.0. Personally my 5.0 can tow anything I'm likely to tow with ease.

I have a 5.0 rental , that motor sounds like music to my ears. The power is plentiful and mpg not much different than my ecoboost stock.

They are both solid engine choices. Base 5.0 and optional ecoboost

29,000 miles on my EB and nary a hiccup. Pulled my 25' travel trailer about 2000 miles last year and it towed like a champ. Romped on it a couple of times today and it just pulled like a beast. I've been very pleased with mine.
