5/30 synthetic Pennzoil and a Ford filter. The funny ting is it doesn't do it every morning maybe, 90% of tr mornings, but I'm afraid sooner or later something is going let go and I will be screwed.

If you cannot safely diagnose it and you are afraid it's coming major or it will leave you stranded, TAKE IT IN!

Well, I have a 2017 3.5 Ecoboost with 33107 miles. It's been out of service for 2 weeks. I had to physically get the service advisor to sit in the driver's seat so he could hear it. After going cylinder by cylinder with a stethoscope, the dealer has removed one bank of lifters and is in the process of replacing parts. They found an SSM, and I don't have the number. If you hear a ticking under warranty, get it to the dealer. I will get the SSM number and post it.
