Default 2014 5.0 shudder at idle

Has anybody else encountered a rough idle when warm in drive with foot on brake? Have had it to the dealer twice and they can't find anything wrong. Being an old mechanic it feels like a coil but can't pin it down.

My 12 5.0 does this as well. Gives a shake or a stumble from time to time at red lights, etc. Dealership couldn't find anything wrong then again as soon as I said there were no engine lights on I don't know how hard they looked.

My 14 does the same as well, thought I read somewhere about sparkplug gap being wrong/ not consistant.

Same here in the 2013. Had it to the dealer, they said they checked for codes and plug gap, all was normal. Also said it's "normal for that engine". Well it certainly didn't happen on my previous 5.0 (stolen) or the rental I had for awhile. :dunno:

Mine seems to be worse when it's hot and the ac is running. I also thought of the coils or plugs. May have to try a set of aftermarket plugs and see.

Perhaps also try cleaning the throttle body. Just cleaned mine and it was quite dirty at 27k miles.

I have a '14 5.0 and it does this as well. Is there a more than likely solution?

my 15 5.0 does this as well. Dealer reprogrammed PCM, still does it.

Pull your plugs and close the gap down to .040. If you are tuned you can go down to .034. It will only take about an hour to do.
