2013 F150 5.0 Cylinder Head DIY Help!!!
Hey Guys, I have a 2013 ford f150 with 5.0 (108k miles) with p0308 code (cylinder misfire 3 and 4). It idles rough. I have replaced the spark plugs and swapped the coils, and the issue did not follow the coils.
I did the compression test, and cylinder 3 is 90 psi, and cylinder 4 is 60 psi.
At this juncture, I'm extremely frustrated with ford who is not helping.
I'm thinking about pulling the head to see what is going on in there - is either the blown head gasket or the exhaust valve is not seated properly. (I'm leaning toward the exhaust valve since not losing any coolant).
This will be my first cylinder head job. I'm hoping someone here can provide me with instruction on how to remove the cylinder head or where can I get more information on this job?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks All.

I have the exact same issue with my 2013 5.0 but with p0306...
swap fuel injectors around, or just pick up an OEM bosch injector for $35 from your local NAPA. however it only fixed my issue for about a day. I am also leaning towards exhaust valve but before you tear apart every thing the injector might be your issue.
that being said you can take your valve cover off, pull the fuel pump fuse and have a buddy crank the engine over and see if the cam lobe has been flattened, in my resent research I am finding this to be a fairly easy procedure and is not uncommon with the 5.0L.
it sounds like the valve springs can break not allowing to valve to close all of the way another thing to check.

The injector is probably not your issue, but a stuck open injector could cause a bad compression test.
how did the plugs look when you pulled them out?
I just suggested it as it is a very simple test by swapping them.
I just got home from dropping mine off at ford, I just got sick of looking at it myself, I am going to have them try to diagnose it, from that point I will determine if need to save up money or if I can do it myself. I will let you know what they come up with in the next couple of days, it might just help you out.
