Spark glug gap was lowered to .30~.33 from .33~.37

What did they do to the pcv system?

Changes to eco engine are as follows:

-pass side exhaust cam driven vacuum pump for brake booster (like a diesel)
-camshaft position sensors moved from behind the motor to above valve covers
-pcv nipples moved to better locations on the valve covers
-new intercooler
-electronic bov (if youre leaving the truck stock this is a slight improvement)
-slight update to turbos

I had an '11 fx4 eco and now have a '13 fx4 eco. I was not aware of any changes but I could swear that the turbos on this truck are a little more noticeable sound wise and that the engine seems to have a somewhat deep tone also. It seems to have same power over all however. I like the changes they have made so far and the HID lamps when the brights are on are incredible. I ordered my truck and also for '13 the 3:73 axle is now an option (comes with 3:55 otherwise). And you can now get the 6.2L as an option also. Its like $3350 for the 6.2L and $500 for the 3:73's.

I just picked up my 13 eco fx4 today. Traded in my 12 eco fx4 12k miles with unresolved transmission problems.

I agree with horak. The HID's are incredible. I like that you can get a 3.55 in an fx4 ecoboost now. The turbo's do seem to sing a little bit more. The power feels more linear than my 12. Im going to wait till 1000 to put the 5 star back on it.

Do you think the 3.55's are a good idea though? You lose some towing capacity.

The 3.55s seem to make the truck cruise much better at highway speeds. Towing I cannot feel a difference. If I was running taller than stock tires I would say get the 373s. Gas mileage seems to be up from my 2012 as well.

The turbos for 2013 are 3mm bigger from what I have read.
