I had a 2012 FX4 eco with 3.73's. It pulled harder and felt faster than my 2013 FX4 eco with 3.55's. I was actually kinda bummed that my 13 felt slower. I was always wondering if I made the right choice to let my 12 go.

Then, just today, my 5 star tune arrived and I've never been happier. This 13 really rips. It feels like I have way more power under the hood.

Also, my turbos are way louder on my 13.

Mine took about 1500 miles to hear slightly, tuned it and put on my exhaust...and they haven't fell to impress me on the sound yet .

I owned an '11 CCSB EB 2wd XLT with 18s and 3.55 gears. I traded it on a '13 CCSB EB 2wd Platinum with 3.55 gears. So the trucks are mechanically identical, however Im sure the '13 is heavier due to more options and has slightly less final gear due to the taller tires.

The 13 has 7k miles on it now and I have said since day 1 its slower than the 11. Im sure it is partially due to the weight difference, but I think the 13 tune holds the truck back. The 11 kept the converter locked most of the time and would increase boost with minimal down shifting. The 13 converter stays unlocked more and it would rather downshift than boost up. The 11 simply had better throttle response. Couldn't tell you if there is a diff at WOT. I don't notice a difference towing my 6000lb boat either.

^^^ I haven't noticed that it downshifts unless I really step on it, my truck seems content just holding gear. I hauled 2500 lbs of patio block home a few weeks back not once on any of the hills did it come out of 6th.

Mine did exactly the same. Sold it for a 5.0. Much happier.

I had a 2011 Super Cab 4X4 with 3.55 gears ran a 14.67 at 93.45 mph.I now have a 2013 Super Cab 4X4 with 3.31 gears so far the best has been a 14.88 at 91 mph.
