Well that makes two of us, I hate my truck right now. It has that same clicking noise you can always hear it but it becomes audible at about 35-40 ish and gets louder from there and it's continuing to get louder. My truck has always done it since new bought it back in august. I did a dissertation for a lack of better words on it about what I troubleshot etc, search 2013 f150 noise. Went to the dealer but it was pouring down rain so test drive didn't hear crap except for the rain and traffic never let is get over 40... So of course at the dealer who looks stupid, me. Just haven't had time to go back with work and all. This noise is driving me crazy it's coming from the front of the t-case or tranny, sounds like a bad bearing or better yet t-case chain slap idk. Ugh I hate my ford right now.

I had the same issue with the rain, went back 2 days later and drove with a tech but he claims he couldn't hear it but I could hear it plain as day, whatever! I wish what ever it was would just fail catastrophically so I can get this problem solved. keep my posted of what you find and I will do the same.

Hi bp red,

I want to look into this to see how I can help. Send me a PM with your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealership. I'll check out some options.

Both service guys went on rides with me and both hear what i'm hearing. I saw back in August that some people have had this issue and i'm wondering if anyone found the problem, if there is one. You cant hear the noise until 40 mph and it gets louder with speed. It has to to do with something spinning and not rpm because if you put it in neutral at 65 mph it still does it. If the radio is on you can't hear it but i know its there and i'm getting frustrated. Truckk only got 1000k on it. I have owned 3 f150's and they all have had some kind of noise issue, you think i would of learned my lesson by now but its hard not to like these trucks. Any help is appreciated.

Having exact same issue! Now have a little over 2,000 miles on a 2month old 2013fx4 5.0 3.73's. I don't really notice the noise until transmission temp reaches 150deg and the warmer it get the more audible it becomes. Dealer claimed he didn't hear anything. I joined this hoping to get some feed back. Has anyone solved this issue?
Thanks

Update:

Brought truck to local dealership, technician who rode along agreed this was not a normal noise. He believed it was the front passenger hub and bearing. After replacing both I picked up truck and not even a mile down road heard the same noise.

While it is hard to pin point the exact location it certainly appears to be coming from the center hump where transmission and drive line are.

Thanks for keeping us updated, FX4life1. I escalated this to your regional customer service manager so they can help; you have a message in your inbox with the case info.
