Default 2012 XLT Crew 4x4 3.5 Ecoboost Gas Mileage

I have a 2012 with the 3.5 ecoboost with a leveling kit and 33x12.5 tires. Im wanting to get the best solutions for improving mpg. Im averaging 14-15 mpg, Ive done plugs, coil packs, air filter, and I have also removed the intake rings (there is no difference with or without them just more turbo noise). I have been looking into trying the CRC Intake valve and Turbo cleaner but not sure about it yet. I do have a little bit of a heavy foot but not to bad. Im about to take a long work trip and gonna be doing some serious hwy driving so I can see some good mpgs so I would like some suggestions to try before I go. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Take off the leveling kit and heavy tires. Remove as much weight as possible from the truck (Rear seats, passenger seats, anything extra. Go VERY EASY on the skinny pedal. Not a lot of ways to get better gas mileage other than those.

You can try cleaning the 3 MAP sensors and throttle body (make sure to clean using proper chemicals or you will ruin these things!).

Have you calibrated your speedometer yet?

If your tires are 33's and are about an inch taller than stock, that can throw off your speedometer by a few MPH at 60. I my case, it changed 4%. So, the speedometer was reading 60 but I was really going 62.4. It doesn't seem like much; however, factored in to a 4% change in MPG, that 15 MPG is really more like 15.6 MPG.

I used a Hyertech calibrator and it corrected my speedometer to even closer than stock.

You want better mpg - lose the lift and big tires. Return it to stock and you'll see the mileage improve.
The big tires I suspect are the heavy LT tires which kill mileage and ride quality.

I run same size as stock tires in a P rating (much lighter and smoother) and I have a very mild (1 inch lift on front) leveling kit which still affords some rake.
I get 20mpg on the highway.

I averaged 15.4 on the way home today going 82mph with a 15mph tailwind. Thats about as good as I see.

The economy you described sounds about like what you can expect with your mods. I can almost assure you it's your driving habits.

Yes I have checked my speed since I’ve added the tires and it didn’t change anything.
