Hello everyone. I have a 2012 6 cylinder Ecoboost that has been having some trouble with various things as of recently. The engine light is on and the most noticable issue is it has trouble shifting when accelerating and it will also downshift at various times on the highway. There also seems to be a considerable loss of power. I have gotten the opinion of several people and the cause of the issue seems to be the timing chain. Has anyone also experienced this?

Also, I have had trouble finding mechanics willing to fix the timing chain in my area. Does anyone know of any mechanics near Kansas City that specialize in Ecoboosts or has successfully replaced timing chains? I am willing to travel within the Midwest as needed.
