Default 2012 5.0 lost power

Need some help. My wife was driving her 2012 F150 5.0L today. As she was pulling up our driveway (which is fairly steep and currently has mud at the bottom) she began to slip so she let off the throttle a bit and then started to throttle again. The truck lost all power but did not shut off. She rolled backwards to the bottom of the hill. She then opted to try it again but barely got going up the hill and the truck lost all power to include steering and brakes. I then said "Low Oil Pressure". I wasn't present so that's all I can really say.

Any suggestions?

traction control not turned off? that will put on the brakes and kill power if you are spinning the tires

I doubt she turned off the traction control but you said "that will put on the brakes and kill power". She said that she had no brakes as well.

So I got home, turned on the truck, turned off the traction control and stayed up my driveway. I stayed slipping from the mud on my tires but stayed on the throttle and was able to make it up. BTW, my driveway is a 16 degree incline.

Traction control was probably pulling engine timing while applying the brakes.

If you got a low oil pressure message the engine probably shut off, where was the fuel level at this time? If I'm below a 1/4 tank I have to pull out of my steep driveway within about 15 seconds or I'll run out of fuel as all the fuel runs to one end of the tank and away from the fuel pump.
